Botox / Dysport / Xeomin
Consultations offered at our two convenient locations in West Hollywood and Burbank, CA

Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are injectable neuromodulators designed to reduce fine lines, creases, and wrinkles for smoother, more youthful-looking skin. These injectables inhibit the release of acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter responsible for muscle contractions that lead to fine lines and wrinkles. (1) By preventing these muscle contractions, these injectables simultaneously reduce wrinkle appearance and prevent them from worsening. Neuromodulator injections were the most popular minimally invasive cosmetic procedure in the country in 2023, with over 9.48 million injections performed. (2)

About Botox/Dysport/Xeomin
Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are minimally invasive injectable treatments that we can administer to reduce the appearance of visual signs of aging while preventing new wrinkles and creases from developing. Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are all derived from the protein botulinum toxin A, the active ingredient that helps relax the targeted facial muscles.
The difference between these neuromodulators lies in their formulation. Unlike Botox and Dysport, Xeomin does not contain any accessory proteins. Accessory proteins are non-toxic, extra proteins that help protect the botulinum toxin. While they do not contribute to the therapeutic effects of the treatment itself, they can slowly cause patients to build a tolerance to the treatment. (3) This might make the treatment less effective after repeated use.
Our expert nurse injector helps each patient choose the best formula to help them achieve their desired results.
Benefits
There are numerous benefits associated with choosing Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin, including:
- Wrinkle Reduction: Neuromodulators are primarily designed to enhance each patient’s appearance by smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles.
- Fast Treatment: Each session usually takes only 15-30 minutes, making it an easy treatment to fit into a busy schedule.
- Minimal Downtime: Most patients can resume normal activities almost immediately after their treatment.
- Non-Surgical Procedure: Patients can address their visible signs of aging without the use of incisions or an extensive recovery.
- Lasting Results: With results lasting between three to four months on average, neuromodulators provide an effective solution for preventing and reducing the appearance of persistent wrinkles.
- Enhanced Confidence: Achieving a more youthful-looking appearance can significantly enhance one’s self-esteem and overall confidence.
Candidates
Candidates interested in neuromodulators should be in good overall health, free from any underlying conditions that may impact their ability to receive these injections. Patients should also have realistic expectations about what they can achieve with the injectables.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you will need to wait to receive your injections. While many candidates are already experiencing more advanced signs of facial aging, younger candidates can address early signs of aging as a form of pre-rejuvenation, or “prejuvenation.”
Personal Consultation
The first step to a more youthful appearance with neuromodulator injections is attending a personal consultation at our West Hollywood or Burbank locations. At this appointment, our nurse injector will meet with you and inquire about your medical history, concerns, and ideal aesthetics before evaluating your facial anatomy and appearance. Using this information, the nurse injector will recommend Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin and create your treatment plan. Depending on your aesthetic goals, they may also recommend additional skin rejuvenation treatments.

Preparation
The nurse injector will prepare and provide a set of tailored instructions to help each patient prepare for their treatment. These instructions may vary between patients depending on the formula being administered and the areas being addressed, but each guideline should be followed to ensure the best possible results.
We typically recommend that patients stop taking medications and supplements that thin the blood before their injections. Patients should also stop drinking alcohol for 24-48 hours before and after.
It is best to arrive at the appointment with a clean face, without any makeup or skincare products.
Procedure
At the beginning of the appointment, the skin will be cleansed and sanitized. While a topical anesthetic isn’t always necessary, one can be applied before the injections to enhance comfort. Once the patient is comfortable, Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin is carefully administered into the predesignated facial areas. The injection points are chosen to target the specific muscles responsible for causing the formation of wrinkles and creases.
Common areas that many patients choose to address include the forehead, crow’s feet, eleven lines (glabella), and other wrinkles or creases around the mouth, eyes, or nose. Each treatment session is quick, often lasting between 15 to 30 minutes or less, making this procedure ideal for even the busiest of patients.
After Your Treatment
Patients can return to their daily routines after their appointment, with some minor considerations. Patients should stay upright and avoid bending over for several hours. Additionally, individuals should avoid massaging, touching, or placing too much pressure on the treated areas of their face. For the first 24-48 hours after injections, patients should avoid consuming alcohol and taking certain blood-thinning medications or supplements. The nurse injector will provide further, more detailed instructions during each patient’s consultation.
Results
Within 3–7 days, skin appears smoother and more refreshed, with full results in about 2 weeks. Effects typically last 3–4 months with minimal downtime. Individuals will be able to experience smoother, more youthful-looking skin after their injections. The results of our neuromodulator treatments can last for up to five months before reinjection is recommended, but this may vary depending on personal factors such as lifestyle and metabolism.

Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are injectables that increase the volume of your skin and reduce the appearance of creases and fine lines.
- Juvéderm: Juvéderm is a collection of hyaluronic acid (HA) based fillers that are known for their hydrating properties. Juvéderm is ideal for lip augmentation, as well as filling in lines and wrinkles.
- Restylane: Restylane is another family of different HA-based fillers that can be administered to smooth wrinkles. Restylane was the first FDA-approved HA filler in the U.S. and is often used to address the nasolabial folds and lips, but is also commonly used to augment the cheeks. (4)
- RHA: Resilient Hyaluronic Acid (RHA) fillers are a type of hyaluronic acid filler that is specially formulated to be flexible. This allows it to move and contract easily with one’s facial expressions, providing a more natural look and feel. We offer different types of RHA filler, each designed to address various levels of correction.
- Radiesse: Radiesse is a dermal filler composed of calcium hydroxylapatite, a natural substance found in the bones. These fillers offer more structure compared to HA-based fillers and stimulate collagen production. Radiesse is often administered in the smile lines, marionette lines, and various areas of the chin or jawline. (4)
Microneedling
Microneedling is a skin treatment that utilizes tiny needles to stimulate the body’s natural healing response. This treatment creates micro-punctures in the skin’s surface to stimulate the production of collagen, leading to an improvement in overall skin texture, tone, and appearance. This treatment is often performed to address uneven texture, acne scarring, fine lines, and other blemishes.
